Welcome to the Pan Simulator Blog!
Welcome to the Pan Simulator Blog!
Yes, Pan Simulator has a blog now. In this post, I will explain why this was created, its potential uses in the future, and more!
Firstly, welcome! I'm so happy to announce the official Pan Simulator blog. It is designed to keep the Pan Simulator community connected and informed with the latest news and updates.
Why Does This Even Exist?
Granted, I am announcing this pretty much out of nowhere, but this idea has been on my mind for a very, very long time. I remember the concept first coming to me all the way back in Summer 2022, although I never did follow through with it. I never saw the purpose
However, while Pan Simulator's Discord server and other platforms are useful, it is ultimately not enough. The limitations of Discord and many other platforms make it hard to condense news while providing complete transparency where possible, and I don't think anybody wants to sit through a very long YouTube video (Not only would the frequent announcements clutter the channel, but the videos would take forever to produce)
Additionally, I do have potential plans for Pan Simulator. If these plans are followed through, then that means Pan Simulator will no longer be a singular game, but will be far more than that. And in a sense, it kind of already has. While the game is the foundation, the community is what ultimately defines Pan Simulator. I can confidently say that without you, Pan Simulator would 100% not exist. I would have likely dropped the project, and it would have been left to gather dust. I cannot thank you enough for your support, it means the world to me and it is why I do what I do.
For all of these reasons, however, a blog was needed. While announcements, sneak peeks, community events, and update logs will still be posted to the Pan Simulator Discord Server and other platforms, this will be the place for those who really want the smallest details that a summary won't cover.
Why Didn't You Just Create A Blogging Host Platform Yourself?
Let's be honest here, shall we? If you know me personally, you know I'm the kind of guy who just keeps experimenting and experimenting with a really large amount of projects. Over the years, I've developed many projects, and I cannot imagine Pan Simulator being the last. While Pan Simulator is my biggest project to date, it will likely not be the biggest project I ever create.
Knowing this information, it may be questionable to the few who have known me for the longest time why I didn't just create my own blogging platform and host Pan Simulator content on there while managing it myself. (The only reason I'd ever create a blogging platform is if I got banned from all the blogging platforms first)
Well, I think the answer is pretty obvious. I doubt that I am qualified to do that, and even if I got a working project, that's not even considering the fact I'll likely drown in hosting and management costs. What you also may know about me is that I really, really hate acquisitions. I understand why they are done, but I personally don't want to lose control over my own creations. And that's not accounting for other reasons.
Think about it, if I managed to actually get a working blogging website up and running, what would be the point of using it solely for Pan Simulator? If I ever created a large-scale project like that, you all know I'm not using it just for Pan Simulator.
With all of the reasons above, Blogger seems like the best option. I'm not going to go too much into depth, the only reason I'm providing an explanation is to provide transparency. It's completely free to my knowledge and very easy to use. I think we all love simplicity.
Let's also consider that Blogger is owned by Google. I don't know anybody who does not have a Google account, so I can guarantee that this is secure. If Blogger had security issues, I think Google would have much bigger problems to worry about, besides their various fights in court right now (First Amendment guys, don't ban me)
Also, everyone with a Google Account can leave comments, which is a big bonus.
Potential Uses in the Future
Although I mostly explained it above, the Pan Simulator blog will ultimately cover everything related to Pan Simulator, from in-depth guides, glances behind the scenes, and the latest news, updates, and events. Additionally, those reading can also suggest blog posts to be made, and depending on how this goes, I may allow potential members of the Pan Simulator staff to post on the blog as well.
Conclusion
I typed a lot, didn't I? This is one of the primary reasons I created this blog. Once I'm locked into typing things like this, I keep typing and typing about the subject.
I want to end this off with a thank you once again. Your support is the reason Pan Simulator is alive today. I want to ensure you that the direction of the Pan Simulator blog will be shaped by the community, as Pan Simulator is and will be whenever applicable.
Additionally, I wanted to apologize for my excessive inactivity. I have not done much, and I'm really sorry about that. I've been focusing on a lot of other things.
Stay tuned to the Pan Simulator blog for everything I discussed above, including updates, news, insights, and community events. Thank you for being a member of the Pan Simulator community. I hope you enjoy your day from wherever you are reading!
